Centre of Excellence in GIS, the first of its kind and very unique model in the country, has been established at NPTI Complex, Faridabad in technical collaboration with CES Technologies Private Limited, an organic IT arm of the Premier Engineering Consultancy Organisation, Consulting Engineering Services (India) Private Limited (CES), engaged in IT consultancy and GIS enabled services. This Centre is working in the areas of :
• Advanced and frontier technologies in GIS & Remote Sensing.
• GIS & Remote Sensing based Consultancy work execution.
• Blending Advanced and frontier technologies as per industry requirements.
• Providing skills professionals to the industry.
As an initial step, One Year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in GIS & RS for Engineering and Geo-Science Graduates & Post Graduates was started in 2007 . After successful commencement of two batches, now the third batch undergoing training.
